Media News: The Clone Wars
Season #1 on DVD in March?:
Posted: 6th January
(UPDATED: 15th January)
As reported on TheForce.net, rumours abound that the first
season of The Clone Wars TV series, well perhaps the first
ten or eleven episodes, have a possible US release on 25th March
from Warner Brothers. Whilst this is an unconfirmed rumour,
the source was a copy of Previews magazine, the comic
trade magazine from Diamond Comics Distributors, Inc.
(scanned images available at TheForce.net ),
it does also specify that this release would be restricted to the
US, Canada and UK (standard industry practise for DVDs sharing
common distribution), thus giving it some plausibility.
(Source: TheForce.net )
UPDATE:
StarWars.com have published details of the first US DVD release
for The Clone Wars TV series. The Clone Wars: A Galaxy
Divided, a single DVD, will contain the first four TV
episodes and is penned for release on 24th March for $19.98. A full
season multi-disc boxed set is still expected later in the year, as
well as release on high-definition Blu-Ray.

Clone Wars comic series will be extended from its current 6
issues to 12 issues. A new 6-part storyline, In the Service of
the Republic by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, will begin
in issue 7 and will be available monthly rather than the current
bi-monthly.
In other news, Randy also hinted that there will be "more
fallout from Vector"
in Knights of the
Old Republic, Legacy
and Dark
Times as "events are transpiring in [...] those
series that none of us dreamed of when we first began discussing the
possibility of a crossover".
Randy also teased with "we have two more big announcements -
which we’ll be making at the upcoming New York Comic-Con"
(NY Comic-Con runs from 6th-8th February).
