MY BOOK COLLECTION . . .

Sunday 30th September
[]
[ My Book Collection ] Mark Elwood, Atlanta, USA
Star Wars books collector and blogger Mark Elwood shares photos of his collection of almost 1,000 Star Wars books with us. Although Mark began his collection during the 1990s when he and a friend would share the cost of buying Star Wars books, he did not start collecting seriously until about 5 years ago...view Mark's photos

Mark's blog has a page[External site - opens in a new window/tab] dedicated to collecting Star Wars book and comic stories and he offers some really pertinent advice for would-be collectors. His first piece of advice is "to focus on what you like the most" and secondly it is important "to have a plan on what you want". We can't agree more with Mark's advice - with over three decades of published Star Wars book and comic material out there it is important to try to decide early on whether your choice is to be just the novels or the comics, or perhaps to collect stories thematically such as from a single Era of Adventure. But more importantly it must be because you enjoy not just collecting but also reading the stories.
As well as Mark's blog page[External site - opens in a new window/tab], our own Suggested Reading guide offers some pointers for would-be Star Wars book collectors.

If you would like to share your Star Wars book collection, however big or small (size matters not), with other Star Wars fans click here.
