William Shakespeare's The Merry Rise of Skywalker
Reference Hardback Book by Ian Doescher
Quirk Books (
&
)
Complete your
collection of the William Shakespeare’s Star Wars series
and experience the blockbuster finale to the Star Wars
saga in a brand-new way, here reimagined as though it
had been penned by the Bard of Avon. As our story
opens, a sea of troubles threatens the valiant
Resistance, who are pursued by the sound and fury of the
vile First Order. Can Rey, Poe, Finn, Rose, BB-8,
Chewbacca, and their allies overcome such toil and
trouble? Shall Kylo Ren be proven fortune’s fool or
master of his fate? What will become of the House of
Skywalker? And is all well that ends well? Authentic
meter, stage directions, reimagined movie scenes and
dialogue, and hidden Easter eggs will entertain and
impress fans of Star Wars and Shakespeare alike. Every
scene and character from the film appears in the book,
along with twenty woodcut-style illustrations that
depict an Elizabethan version of the Star Wars galaxy.

StarWars.com: Meet the characters of The High Republic
(Part 2)
StarWars.com
has posted an article "Inside Star Wars: The High
Republic: Meet the Jedi Knights and Masters (Part 2)" where we
are introduced to some of the key characters from this
forthcoming era: "Star
Wars: The High Republic, Lucasfilm’s multi-platform,
cross-publisher epic launching in January 2021, will
introduce the world to Sskeer: a tough Jedi Master that
doesn’t quite fit the mold. As such, he sounds very, very
fun. “Sskeer plays a major role in the Marvel
Comics ongoing and is an absolute joy to write,” says
Cavan Scott, one of the writers behind The High Republic.
“He’s a gruff, opinionated Trandoshan who has been around
the block more times than he cares to remember. Loyal, but
brutally honest, you can always be sure Sskeer will tell
you exactly what’s on his mind…or so Avar Kriss and his
fellow Jedi think. That’s all about to change. This is a
Jedi Master with a secret that is tearing him apart.”
Still, The High Republic is set at a time when the Jedi
are at their peak. And none exemplify that more than Avar
Kriss.”" Read the full article

Galaxy's Edge:
Black Spire
Trade Paperback Novel by Delilah S. Dawson
Arrow (
)
This story occurs approximately 34 years after Episode IV: A New Hope:
After devastating losses at the hands of the First
Order, General Leia Organa has dispatched her agents
across the galaxy in search of allies, sanctuary, and
firepower—and her top spy, Vi Moradi, may have just
found all three, on a secluded world at the galaxy’s
edge. A planet of lush forests, precarious mountains,
and towering, petrified trees, Batuu is on the furthest
possible frontier of the galactic map, the last settled
world before the mysterious expanse of Wild Space. The
rogues, smugglers, and adventurers who eke out a living
on the largest settlement on the planet, Black Spire
Outpost, are here to avoid prying eyes and unnecessary
complications. Vi, a Resistance spy on the run from the
First Order, is hardly a welcome guest. And when a
shuttle full of stormtroopers lands in her wake,
determined to root her out, she has no idea where to
find help. To survive, Vi will have to seek out the
good-hearted heroes hiding in a world that redefines
scum and villainy. With the help of a traitorous trooper
and her acerbic droid, she begins to gather a colorful
band of outcasts and misfits, and embarks on a mission
to spark the fire of resistance on Batuu—before the
First Order snuffs it out entirely.
Trade
paperback edition contains exclusive short story
Black Spire: Return to a Shattered Planet.
