Review by Darth Kondorr, Poland, 2016:

I was really surprised at how much I liked this one. Of course it is just a book for children and it takes some time to adjust to its simple and stereotypical characterizations, but once you accept it for what it is, it turns out to be a very pleasant read with a very gripping finale.
Make no mistake, this is no Luceno or Zahn but it has all, a new canon book needs to have: The Rising and oppressive evil Empire? Check. Brave and rebellious protagonists in way over their heads? Check. Cyborg Imperials? Check. Occasional cameos? Check.
